Dr. Andrzej Moczko holds the title of Associate Professor at Wrocław University of Technology, Institute of Building Engineering. From 1991 to 1992 he was a research fellow of the Royal Dutch Academy of Sciences, Faculty of Civil Engineering, Delft University of Technology, The Netherlands. In 1994 to 1995, he completed post graduate study in business management and received a diploma from Central Connecticut State University. In 1996, Dr. Moczko joined TPM Consulting in Wrocław to introduce the most innovative and reliable NDT systems for in-situ examination of concrete structures in Poland, particularly bridges. Dr. Moczko, apart from the university duties, is presently acting as research manager of this company.
His main research interest is focused on the evaluation of cracking behavior and fracture mechanics of cement-based composites by means of acoustic methods, particularly acoustic emission, ultrasonic pulse velocity, and impact-echo. He also specializes in nondestructive testing and evaluation of concrete structures with particular attention to bridge structures. He has extensive experience in the practical application of the following: DOCter Impact-Echo system and the s’MASH Impulse Response system for thickness measurements and flaw detection; Lok-Test and CAPO-Test for in-place compressive strength assessment; the Bond-Test for bond strength evaluation; maturity method for estimation of strength development; water permeability testing; Rapid Chloride Test; and corrosion mapping systems
Dr. Moczko gives lectures frequently on NDT techniques at universities, government institutions, and private companies. In addition, he has a number of publications on modern NDT systems and their practical application.

Dr. Moczko is a Senior Member of RILEM and was an active member of Technical Committee 212-ACD (Acoustic Emission and Related NDE Techniques for Crack Detection and Damage Evaluation in Concrete). He serves as Secretary of Technical Committee 207-INR (Interpretation of NDT Results and Assessment of RC Structures). Dr. Moczko is also a member of the Science Committee of the Polish Society of Civil Engineers.

He is a member of the Polish Committee for Standardization and is responsible for standards development for NDT techniques for concrete structures.
